Firearms Training for Women

Women have recently become more interested in gun ownership. A 2009 study sponsored by the National Shooting Sports Foundation, and noted in the Washington Times, found that 70 percent of gun shop owners reported more female gun buyers. Although 80 percent of the buyers bought guns for self defense, ladies also noted interests in target practice and hunting. Firearms training schools have introduced women’s firearms training classes to accommodate this growing interest.
